Writersroom in Brighton

Many thanks to John Soanes for informing me about this – the last time I was in the Sallis Benney theatre, Steven Berkoff was getting all unnecessary about skinheads (which he used to do with frightening regularity). So, see you down the front for a spot of heckling (joke).

That said, these events usually attract the odd crackpot or two, so hopefully the entertainment value will be quite high!

Don't know if you've seen The Tall Guy, but that features a very good dig at Berkoff.
Do let us know if there are any loonies at the roadshow, eh? I've been to a couple of the WR events, and there are usually a decent crowd, though one or two people seem to mishear the phrase 'let's throw it open to the audience' as 'why don't you tell us your opinion on anything at all, without even pretending to be asking a question?', which is often, ah, interesting...

I'm looking forward to the loonies, actually! They always liven the evening up as far as I'm concerned. And if they're a bit thin on the ground, I just might have to step into the breach myself ;-)
