I am exempt from the entry fee this year after an exchange of emails with Gordy Hoffman (for the full unpleasant story, see here), which only went to prove that Gordy is an all round nice guy and I am a complete and utter shit! Suffice to say, I think I'll give this comp a miss this year...

So is that the plot for your spiritually uplifting script?
Hi Elinor - I think I'll give 'spiritually uplifting' a miss for this year!
I think you should enter Chip - Gordy has a sense of humour and as you say is a nice guy, but he has a good sense of humour. Give the $45 to charity in his honour and it will all be forgotten I'm sure.
Wow how did I manage to repeat myself in the SAME SENTENCE? Half dead today thanks to lil being up half the night...
Goo idea Luce, I never thought about like that - that said, I have a pretty good idea of what Blue Cat looks for in a script, and I'm pretty certain I don't write like that! However, free script notes is always a temptation.
Thinking about it, my application might be fun: "Hi Gordy, I'm the guy who threw all his toys out of his pram last year for nothing at all really - bearing that in mind, here's my entry fee of $0"!
